LINKS TO GREAT RESOURCES

INTERNATIONAL DARK SKY DISCOVERY CENTER

The International Dark Sky Discovery Center will be a 22,000-square-foot facility in the heart of downtown Fountain Hills that will house the Dark Sky Observatory, the Hyperspace Planetarium, the Inspiration Theater, an Immersion Zone, and the Einstein Exploration Station. It will be an international centerpiece for inspiring future scientists and people of all ages to understand how important dark skies are for the well-being of humans, plants, and animals, and for opening a window to the observable universe. You can help bring it to life today with your donation.

FOUNTAIN HILLS ASTRONOMY CLUB

The Fountain Hills Astronomy Club offers great astronomy resources to subscribers and hosts Star Parties and presentations.

FOUNTAIN HILLS LIBRARY

The Fountain Hills Library has an award-winning telescope lending program. Adults can use their library card to check out a telescope in the same way they would borrow a book. They also offer a cool Citizen Science kit called “Measuring Light at Night”. It’s part of an international Citizen Science campaign to raise public awareness of the impact of light pollution by inviting citizens to measure and submit their night sky brightness observations. The kit comes with a Sky Quality Meter, a red LED flashlight, a star magnitude chart, and a project guide folder.
