STUDENT ART CONTEST

Student Art Contest

Our annual Student Art Contest runs in conjunction with the Dark Sky Festival. All school-aged children in Fountain Hills are invited to participate. It’s an opportunity for students to showcase their skills while allowing them to compete for a monetary prize (over $1,200 in cash prizes will be awarded) and a chance to be featured in The Fountain Hills Times newspaper.

This year’s theme is Nocturnal Wildlife Under the Night Sky.

All artwork must be submitted by THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 23, 2023. If you attend one of the schools in town, you must submit your artwork to your teacher that day. If you are homeschooled, you must contact the organizers in advance so your work can be submitted by February 23.

The contest organizers are Cindy Couture and Peggy Yeargain. You can reach them by emailing us at fhdarksky@gmail.com.

All submissions will be judged by a panel of judges to determine the prize winners. All winners will be announced at the Dark Sky Festival on March 25, 2023, at the Community Center.
