Be sure to check out the flyer inserted in this issue of The Fountain Hills Times that highlights the Dark Sky Festival scheduled for this coming Saturday beginning at 4 p.m.
The festival is not only fun and educational for all ages, it’s free. Don’t miss the solar system walk, the display of meteorites, the laser tour of the night sky, the virtual reality stations, the silent auction of premium telescopes, the outstanding presentations, the student art contest entries from every grade level in our school system, and the great additional activities at the Fountain Hills Library, Community Garden and River of Time Museum. Plus, there is live music and a beer and wine garden. Souvenir beer and wine glasses will be available for only $5 while supplies last.
The efforts of the entire Dark Sky Board and leaders of the library, garden and museum to plan this event are greatly appreciated and a special thank you goes to Vicky Derksen and Clayton Corey, who co-chaired this year’s festival.
Come enjoy the wide range of activities. Mark your calendar. We hope to see you on Saturday.
